Junior Copywriter

GYK Antler is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our creative department who’s a storyteller at heart and eager to expand their copywriting skills. Our job as an agency is to ensure brands are serving their consumers by engaging them in innovative, useful, and unexpected ways that are strategically sound and creatively captivating. Our wide range of clients look to us to set them apart from the pack, to cut through the clutter. For you, this means creating effective and inspiring copy as you work with an integrated team of copywriters, strategists, experienced designers, art directors, content producers, account leaders, and analysts to contribute to brand campaigns and ongoing initiatives. You will be asked to create, defend and execute your work across all channels — digital, print, social, video, audio, and experiential — and the success of those ideas rests solely in how self-motivated you are and how well you connect with the audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Be self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and accountable
  • Concept and create compelling copy solutions across all channels and media
  • Embrace a passion for creativity and apply best practices for awareness, education, acquisition, and retention across all channels
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other members of the creative team
  • Stay consistently relevant and up-to-date on all writing, advertising, and marketing trends
  • Have outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up
  • Have a passion for smart, concise copywriting
  • Have a desire to learn from your peers and never stop growing
  • Be positive, flexible, and curious
  • Most importantly, we ask that you be the best version of you every day

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent ad school certificate with writing portfolio and references
  • 1-2 years agency experience
  • Strong strategic and conceptual skills
  • An understanding of the role copywriting plays within the greater landscape of digital and traditional media
  • Ability to maintain and meet internal and client deadlines
  • Ability to take direction and act upon it, never shying away from an opportunity to grow
